1. Who these terms cover
These terms apply to every purchase, sale, consignment, trade-in and sourcing arrangement made with Henley GMT (“we”, “us”), whether through this website, by phone, by message or in person. Prices are in US dollars.
2. Listings and descriptions
Every watch is inspected and authenticated before it is listed. Listings state the year, reference, condition grade and whether the original box and papers are included. Photographs are of the actual watch. Condition grades (Unworn, Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair) are our honest assessment; flaws are described in the listing. Watches marked Reserved, On hold or Sold are not available for purchase.
3. Buying and payment
A purchase is confirmed when we agree the watch, the price and the delivery method in writing and payment clears. We accept bank wire, ACH and Zelle. Payment instructions are confirmed by phone or email before you send funds; we will never change bank details by email alone. Title passes on receipt of cleared funds.
4. Shipping and in-person handover
Watches ship fully insured, discreetly packaged, signature required, by overnight courier to addresses in the 50 United States. Risk passes to you on signed delivery. Local clients may arrange an in-person handover by appointment, at which point risk passes when you take possession.
5. Inspection window and returns
You have [N] days from delivery to inspect the watch. If it is not as described, tell us within that window and return it, insured, in the same condition and with everything that was supplied, for a full refund. Watches that have been worn, sized, polished, serviced or altered after delivery cannot be returned under this window.
6. Twelve-month warranty
Every watch we sell carries a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery covering the movement and timekeeping. It is honored directly by Henley GMT. It does not cover accidental damage, water ingress, wear to the case, crystal, bracelet or strap, batteries, or damage caused by third-party servicing. Warranty work is arranged by contacting us; shipping to us for warranty assessment is at our cost.
7. Selling your watch to us
Offers are made within 24 hours of a complete submission, Monday to Friday, and are firm figures conditional on the watch arriving as described. On acceptance we send a free insured shipping label or arrange an in-person meeting. Payment is made the same day the watch passes inspection. If a watch is not as described, we will tell you why, offer a revised figure or return the watch to you insured at our cost.
8. Consignment
Under consignment we market and sell your watch on your behalf for a fee of [X]% of the final sale price, confirmed in writing with the listing price before the watch is listed. You retain ownership until sale. The watch is insured while in our custody. You are paid the agreed net within five business days of cleared funds from the buyer. No sale, no fee. Either party may end a consignment with written notice, and the watch is returned insured at your cost unless we agree otherwise.
9. Trade-ins
A trade-in value is a firm written figure conditional on inspection, offset against the price of the watch you are acquiring. Where your watch is worth more than the piece you want, the difference is paid to you the day both watches pass inspection.
10. Sourcing
There is no search fee. We quote a target price including our margin before committing to buy on your behalf, and no purchase is made without your written approval. Sourced watches carry the same authentication, warranty and inspection window as stock.
11. Authenticity
We guarantee every watch we sell to be genuine. If a watch is ever shown not to be genuine we will refund the purchase price in full on its return.
12. Limitation
To the extent permitted by law our liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the watch concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
